Choose the Correct Installation Method
For a 600 × 600 mm LED panel, the installation depends on the ceiling structure.
If you have a standard 600 × 600 mm suspended/T-bar ceiling, the panel can be installed directly into the ceiling grid by replacing one ceiling tile.
If you have a solid gypsum board/plasterboard ceiling, we normally recommend using a 600 × 600 mm surface-mounting frame, which is fixed to the ceiling and the LED panel is then installed into the frame.
Another option is a suspension kit, if you prefer the panel to be suspended from the ceiling.

How it should be installed in a gypsum board ceiling
The basic installation is:
Gypsum board ceiling → cut an opening → secure/support the panel → connect driver → place panel into the opening
The important question is what mounting accessories your particular panel has. A recessed panel normally needs one of these:
- Spring clips attached to the panel
- Cut the ceiling opening.
- Connect the driver.
- Push the panel into the opening.
- Spring clips hold the panel against the back of the gypsum board.
- Recessed mounting brackets/clips
- Brackets are fixed to the panel.
- The brackets grip/support the gypsum board.
- The panel is held flush with the ceiling.
- Separate supporting frame/brackets
- Used when the gypsum board itself cannot safely support the panel.
- Particularly important because a 600 × 600 panel is relatively large.
For a gypsum board ceiling, an opening needs to be cut to the required size. The LED driver is connected above the ceiling, and the panel is then secured in the ceiling opening using the recessed mounting clips/brackets.
